Simply lower the bit to the surface of your workpiece and zero out the display, then drill to the desired depth! If you wish to set the depth stop for repeated drilling, simply lower the bit until the readout shows the target depth, then lock the depth stop at that point. It's ideal for drilling the 35mm holes for euro style cabinet hinges, where accurate hole depth is important. The gauge mounts to almost any drill press, either to the existing depth stop rod or directly to the quill collar.
